Icons come and go but Frank Sinatra has proven to live on not only through his music but also through hearts and minds of generations.
This year, on Sunday June 21st, fans celebrated his 100th birthday at the Make Music New York Clavinova Piano bar. The event, sponsored by Yamaha, featured songs by the Chairman of the board himself, Sinatra.
The Clavinova Piano bar, visiting Sinatra’s favorite places in New York, brought along a pianist, Nate Buccieri, to sing some of Sinatra’s most famous hits. Event participants sang along to the tunes of “Theme from New York New York”, “It Was a Very Good Year”, and “Come Fly With Me.”
The day ended at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, where they are hosting an exhibit to honor Sinatra.
